XRP Price Jumps 2% As Bitwise Nears ETF Launch

The XRP price climbed 2% in the last 24 hours to trade at $2.49 as of 8 p.m. EST on trading volume down that slumped 57% to $2.04 billion.

This is as Bitwise moves one step closer to launching a US-listed XRP ETF after filing the “final amendment” to its S-1 registration with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Oct. 31. That signals an approval may arrive within weeks. 

The Bitwise XRP ETF is set to trade on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) with a management fee of just 0.34%, putting pressure on other products to keep costs low.

The buzz around the Bitwise XRP ETF has brought renewed interest to XRP, boosting sentiment around the coin and keeping it in the spotlight.

XRP Price: Strong Fundamentals, On-Chain Developments

XRP’s price increase is being supported by strong fundamentals and on-chain developments. XRP is one of the world’s largest digital assets, with a market capitalization above $30 billion.

The coin powers the XRP Ledger (XRPL) blockchain, which is best known for fast cross-border remittances but is also expanding into decentralized finance (DeFi) and asset tokenization. 

The network boasts over five million active wallets and consistently handles transactions in just seconds, with fees under $0.01.​

On-chain data shows activity on the XRPL has been rising ahead of the ETF decision. Transaction volumes are trending up, while whale wallets have resumed accumulation after minor selling by short-term holders last week.

Institutional flows are also strong, with increased movement from exchanges into self-custody wallets, a classic signal that investors expect positive price action in the coming weeks. 

Experts also point out that the upcoming ETF product could boost liquidity and reduce supply pressure, as more coins are locked into long-term investment products.

The combination of rising network activity, wallet growth, and institutional interest could be the fuel needed for further price gains.​

XRP Price Technical Analysis: Signs Of A Key Reversal

Looking at the technical side, XRP’s weekly chart signals a crucial moment for traders and investors. After rebounding from lows near $1.02 earlier in 2025, XRP set a high around $3.66 in July. The price then retreated but held above both the 50-week and 200-week simple moving averages (SMA), key support levels at $2.52 and $1.02, respectively.​

The recent move back above the 50-week SMA is an important bullish sign, especially as the ETF story unfolds. Buyers have defended the $2.45–$2.60 support zone. If this range holds, technicals suggest a potential push toward the previous high at $3.66, with interim resistance near $3.00.​

Short-term indicators offer a mixed-to-bullish outlook. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is at 47.35, which is neutral but leaves room for more upside if momentum builds. The MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence) histogram is flattening out, indicating that bearish pressure is weakening and buyers could regain control soon. 

The ADX at 23.66, while not signaling an extremely strong trend, is consistent with ongoing accumulation at these levels.​

If bulls keep the price above $2.52 and buyers respond to any short dips, XRP could climb toward the $3 area quickly once the ETF news becomes official. However, a drop below $2.45 might trigger short-term selling and see XRP retest support closer to the 200-week SMA at $1.02 before new buyers step in.

With ETF excitement building and technical support holding for now, the XRP price story looks more bullish than not. The ETF decision, expected within weeks, may set the stage for the next big move as traders eye both $3 and new all-time highs if current trends continue.
